more lineart practice, I think I did better on this one maybe? but now I’m worried that it’s too stiff. So I guess I’ll try to work on both aspects next time.
The color in her eyes/hair can change to anything. I also don’t know how to associate a wing mark with art but i’ll come up with an explanation eventually
some stuff from a teeny book I’ve been carrying around. I wouldn’tve bothered working this small (each page is 4” x 2.5”) but an art teacher was prattling on about how moleskine is THE BEST THING. I remembered we had this little calendar thing lying around that nobody was using and I didn’t want to waste it.
I don’t know it’s turned into something of a thumbnail book and I guess that’s cool?

Rough “sketches.” I prefer to mass out everything instead of sketching usually.
Also, outing myself as liking ponies, this is not a good start
(Actually I could talk at length about what I think about the show, not all of that is positive, but maybe I’ll do that later. In short, I don’t know that I’d consider myself a fan except in the case of the design of MLPs themselves.)
These aren’t fan characters, they’re my OCs drawn as ponies.
These two small things were made experimenting with brushes on SAI. I was trying to make a brush that mimicked the graphite one on CS5, which I like a lot. The result… doesn’t look at all like graphite but I like it and use it all the time now.
